Hi,
anybody knows the lengh of the of the Eibach Spring Kit (front/rear) versus the Hypercoil Spring Kit (front/rear) ?
I have the Eibach spring kit installed and the car is still too high.
Would be nice to know if the hypercoils are shorter (this would be a buying reason) or the same lengh.
Thanks
Stefan

By Eibach, do you mean the progressive kit 928 Intl sells?
Eibach and Hypercoil 2.5" springs can be bought in almost any length you want, and in increments of 50-100lb/in. It's no big deal to cut them if you have the wrong length or want them a bit stiffer.

The Hypercoils will not work with the stock set-up.
Check this out:

What car do you have? I put the Eibachs on a car last week and it was very easy to get it too low. What measurements are you getting?

Yes, I mean the progressive kit.
I have the koni red setup with ride height adjustment sleeves from 928MS and the Eibach kit from 928GT.com .
Car is still high ( front: 1/2 inch from tire to wheel arch; back: 1 inch from tire to wheel arch) despite the fact that the ride héight ist drawn down to the lowest position on the sleeves.
As the Eibachs are already installed I cannot say how long they are (also no info written on the spring itsself).
So, how long are these Eibachs front/rear in this kit ( 8 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch ? ) and how long are the Hypercoils front/rear that can be bought from 928MS ?
Thanks for the info,
Stefan

What are the 928MS height adjustment sleeves like?
The website says they are shrink-fit positioned on the Koni's. Not sure how that affects height adjustment.
On stock suspension, Eibachs could barely get the front of my car to 155mm measured from the stock 928 measure point. That is the highest.

hi,
two facts,
1 - the specs of a spring is in direct relation with his lenght, all the other apart.
2 - the height of the car is in direct relation with the stiffness of the spring
By knowing those two facts, you should be able to determine what is the right length of the spring within a tolerance group of stiffness![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Hi,
thanks for the info, but please let's keep it as simple as possible.
Is there anybody out there who has an Eibach spring kit laying around, can measure the lengh of one front and one back spring and post the result ?
I don't want to disassamble the whole combo to get this info.
Thanks a lot

You're missing this point: you cannot put Hypercoils into your setup.
Then, the length calculation needs to take into account the stiffness of the spring and the gap between the _new_ perches and caps.
Have you measured the car properly? Fender measurements are about styling and if you lower it so you like it it will be too low to handle well.
