On the Max Moritz/Strosek car, the Dutch Stallion, Fat Bully, and the red 1988 24H of Nurburgring car (OBehave's last pic), does anybody know how the windows are mounted? Are they simply slid into the track and held from below? Are they glued, riveted, bolted, or otherwise fastened in place? Do any have an external release for the window for emergency workers?
On Fat Bully the side windows are tinted polycarb riveted to the lip that used to hold the stock window strim. It's neat, but not a good setup. The sliders rattle and the tint is too dark from inside the car, obstructing looking through corners and whatnot... I'm gooa change it to clear polycarb with cut holes instead of the sliders.

Is the polycarbonate in the window track and riveted or outside the track? We aren't allowed to have any tint on anything other than the quarter windows (or rear side windows of a 4-door car).

It's riveted inside the window track, onto the lip that held the window trim in place. If the car was home I'd take a photo for you. Here's the best one I have on file, but you can't really see the rivets as they're touched up with black paint -
