19 inch wheels

That is mine with 19s. 8.5 in the front, 10.5 in the rear. They are Race Inc, RPK 038.
I would not recommend them to anyone. You need a 10-12 mm spacer and they MAY work in the rear. Anything less than that and they will interfere with the caliper. (I am running a 21mm spacer, hence the fender rolling) The other crap thing about them is that they have a 22mm opening for the lug holes. This is far too small and I had to have custom nuts!

While 19" wheels look nice, IMO there is not enough side wall on the tires for the car to be a practical daily driver. 40 profile in the front and 35 in the rear is the least I would go. Also, 19" tires cost a lot more than 18".

From my understanding, the larger the wheel, the easier it is to BEND. For hard street driving, 17's are the best IMHO...
Give me wide Cup II's and I'm happy.

19's are fine IMO
I live on a gravel road that often has potholes in it... still no problem (obviously I don't drive at 100Mph tho)
Tire profile / wall height is no different than what comes as factory standard on modern Porsches, such as the 997 987....
Good enough for OEM... so good enough for me

I was also wondering about ride quality with the ultra low profile tires. Seems like it would suffer from the lack of cushion.

Ride could be described as "FIRM"
I usually wear a football biteguard when I go anywhere in my car.
285/30--18s in rear
and get some tires that handle water well if it rains where you live. My conti-
2s would make good water skis, but a wet road can get scary.
