Default S4 Engine for sale - NEW PRICE

I have a complete S4 engine, excellent compression on all cylinders all within a few PSI of each other. From 5-speed car with 160k miles. $1500 plus shipping (edited price). At this price, you're buying it as-is, no warranty. Feel free to check it out in person. I will continue dropping the price till it is gone.

Engine is complete with cam covers, t-belt installed, intake, etc. Jim, I can look up the engine number but by the number, it is not an oil squirter.

It is important to note that it is a 5-speed engine with excellent compression numbers, all within a few of each other. I am always leary of untested auto engines, no way of knowing if there is thrust bearing failure or any wear in that regard.

Heinrich:

Thanks. Yes, always hoping to add an oil squirter block to my "collection".

If you can, please check the casting no.'s on the heads. I'm collecting quite a few 1R's...

Best.

Casting No.'s are below the surface for the cam covers and above the manifold mountings.

The numbers are towards the rear for the pass side and front on the drivers side heads. If for sure a S4 engine (not S3) the last three characters are what's important. Most likely a .1R, possibly .2R. As a point of reference: GT's are .3R and GTS are .5R.

Shipping is a cost you'll have to pay no matter where you're shipping from ... I don't know what shipping would be. I'd likely strap the engine to a shipping pallet.
