Maybe shortening, or maybe putting a different twist into the hose?
I have one zip tie holding it against the shroud "rest" for the hose. Are the shroud upper/lower properly mating? Could the drive belt be different than stock-length? Just some ideas. There is not a lot of room there anyway, so an "overhose" would likely hit the pulley if installed on mine. Perhaps remove the overhose and put a little more twist in the hose.

When I compare them to what I see in my car, it looks like my hose is just a bad fitting part. It looks like it is a bit short at the top and a bit long at the bottom end.
