Very nice color combo and unbelievable condition. Sharks like that are hard to come by these days. Nice score!

Wow....I'm impressing myself. It's been about 35 years since we lived there!!

I am wondering if the "park" with the railroad tracks you mention is a "park" park, or a trailer park, which is where we lived while we were there. Those were good times for a kid of that age. We'd climb the cinderblock wall and hang on some big rocks where a little stream wandered through, hoping not to run into a rattler or black widow.

Further back in the hills there, my father once showed me a fossil he found embedded into the side of a hill. I swear to god, it looked just like a small monkey's face!!

I can also remember walking down Tierra Rejada every day to school, past a long section of stores and such, turning cartwheels and just generally being silly (I was 8 the year we lived there) the whole way. A mile and a quarter each way to school, wearing ski coat and heavy pants in the morning, and carrying that stuff home in the 90 degree temps later on. Yikes!!

Wow....what a trip down memory lane. Thanks for joining our bunch and bringing back such great memories at the same time!

Soooo....what will you name your car?

Thanks for all the welcomes. Leslie, I don't name my cars my wife does. She's been busy lately but when she takes a break, you'll be the second to know.

Too funny.....sounds the same as around here. Hubby doesn't think naming cars is "cool", but I keep doing it, anyway!

That's how we ended up with Christine, Pandora's Box, Franken-Shark (ok, Gretch takes credit for coming up with that one), and Bride of Franken-Shark!!

I'll be looking forward to hearing about the christening!
