Dave C has been my wrench since '04 and he is the best at what he does. I do what I can, the simpler things, and he takes it from there to 100%. Without Dave, it would be a different 928 world for me for sure.
We have a group of 5 speed 928 owners in our area and we get together frequently. See you around.
Sounds like Dave is a great guy based on all the rave reviews and I'm looking forward to having him care for the GTS. I'll be seeing him tommorrow evening and hopefully he'll have the capacity to take on another car.

I'm also looking forward to meeting some new faces and seeing some nice sharks now that the nicer weather is here. Keep me in the loop regarding GTG's and weather permitting I'll be there with the GTS (I don't drive it in the rain).

As for SITM goes, I know that I will not be able to swing that.
Don't think I could do it to the wonderful, albeit longsuffering Mrs.

Thanks again,
Gary

Gary send me a PM with your email address, I will add you to our email list that goes around for the S.Shore/Cape guys.

I don't drive my GT in the rain either and I get a lot of grief for that but I don't care

Gary,

You are welcome. I thought "maybe" it would be a match!! - Ha.

Hope to meet you in person at SITM in North Carolina in early June (bunch from New England usually make it), or at the 928 OCIC in Dallas/Arlington TX in late July.

Cheers,

Gary Knox

How do you know they were the wrong rings?
Just trying to get a handle on what happened to your engine.

BTW, what does this have to do with this thread, you need to start a new thread and possibly remove this one post.

He told me on a Monday to call him back at the end of the week because he thought his insurance would cover it. I called him at the end of the week and he told me to sue him. I posted my interaction on facebook and was barraged by people with similar bad experiences with Randolph Racing.

Steer clear this guy is a professional car destroyer.

Greg:
I know they were the wrong rings because the original engine builder explained to me that Kevin had been to his shop trying to figure out what went wrong. Kevin told him the whole story. EBS racing also explained that Kevin at Randolph Racing had ordered the rings for a stock block 951 engine. My engine is a steel sleeved square bore engine. Needs a different size ring.

When I confronted Kevin with all the info I had, he confessed to the whole thing.

As far as what this has to do with this thread, please read the very first paragraph of the thread. It mentions Randolph racing as a recommended place to get your 928 fixed in MA. I was trying to explain my experience with Randolph Racing to make sure no one else got the same type of service from him that I did.

Actually the shop who fixed my 951's owner drives a 928 as his daily driver and is pretty good with them from what I hear. The shop is Conway Autoworks in Hanover MA. May be worth checking out.

Keep the shiny side up,
Jimmy

You sure must of been pissed. You set the rennlist record for the fastest and most caustic spamming without computer targetting assist that day. Mods had to don safety gear and work overtime to delete your posts. Hope things are better.
