Make darn sure they are the right gaskets. When I got mine from Roger the kits he had received at that time were incorrect. With the right ones, the hot water trick made it a piece of cake. As for the pin connectors, I like Andrew's position. How often do we really adjust the mirrors? That being said, I did manage to get them wired properly. Now I adjust them periodically because I can. Adding on these mirrors was absoultly the worst job I ever did. I thought I was going to crack the housing compressing the spring, then the wiring birds nest. When you think your home free the stupid gasket.
But...they look so gooood.

if i did it again i wouldn't wire them. if you're the only driver you never adjust them, i haven't touched the controls in years. if they do get bumped, move 'em back by hand. oh the horror...

IIRC Alan wrote an excellent post on wiring the aero's to the older flags, both versions.
Myself, I swapped the motors over from the flags to the aeros which meant cutting the harness for each mirror and resoldering/heatshrink. Full functionality is maintained and the new look is superb.

Doing things half way is one of the reasons so many of the 928's are in the shape they are in.
Doing things 100% is the reason that some other 928's are the shape they are in also.
I hope my car ends up being in the latter group.

Well, the gaskets went on without too much trouble. The hot water plus a little electrical tape in a few areas worked just fine![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
More to come tomorrow...lets just say that Dave Lomas' wire kit works perfectly
