Glad to hear that one more shark may be saved from the boneyard (fingers crossed)

Mark--way to "pay it forward"

Given the geographic challenges, my help will have to be restricted to finanical--PM me if there is something that needs to be purchased

FYI- from the other thread, it's an '84, I assume US model. Don't know if it's a manual or auto.

Mark, your act of kindness will be remembered by many for years to come. What an incredible offer and idea! We have some bits from an 84 US in the basement, so we'll keep an eye on the "needs" list if you post it!

Lisa, you're so lucky to be so close to 928 International!!

Lisa Please post some pictures
+1 - It'll be helpful to build a list of what parts are needed so there are no surprises on work day, plus people may have spares/extra bits that might be donatable.

Mark - Great act of kindness.

How about if someone (not necessarily you) posts a list of parts she's going to need and then people who are more remotely located can either send them directly or buy them from one of the vendors and have them shipped?
I think Mike Frye is on to something here. After you get the car, assess what is needed from a parts perspective, why not post a list of them sort of like a Wedding Registry on a simple website. A Rennlister who looks at the list can either donate a part, purchase a part, or donate money to a general "expensive part" fund. The list would have to indicate, just like an online wedding registry, if that particular thing/part has been purchased or previously provided.

As I don't have any spare parts I would be willing to invest in the purchase of a part or donating to a general fund to help pay for an expensive part. Could be a way for 928 Int'l to see some of it's generosity returned as I would purchase the part through you. Saves on shipping

Just an idea - I have no knowledge or means to set up a quick website but perhaps another Rennlister has those skills.

I'm with Dan on this one...source the needed parts from contributions and Mark @928 Intl and we will throw in extra $ either on top of one of our current orders or just put something on our account.. Great Idea !! Mark, please let all of us here in the East know what you think about Leeroy's possible resurrection and we will gladly lend our support as we cannot actually be there for the work. Way to lend a hand all, Kevin

I wish I was in CA to lend a hand, this would be a lot of fun. Mark, if you need the rubber stuff for the fuel lines, hit me up, I know where to get them. On my tab.

Mark, can't say I'm surprised that you would initiate such a 'benefit' affair. Very noble. What year & model? I may have some spares to contribute.

Hi Mark,
I will donate a fuel hose kit if that helps at all.
Consider it from Sean and I.
We would be there to help out if it was closer.

Well as expected there is lots of great support here.
As soon as I get the car here I will take a closer look at what will be needed and post a list. As long as the engine itself isn't damaged I think we'll be fine.
