Unhappy No Start Problem need help, car at body shop

So I bring my 1984 to the body shop for paint. Drive it there and it runs great. I get a call from the shop that the car will not start. They asked if I have an alarm. I say not that I know of. i did use a spare key I had laying around. Could it be the key is not turning off a factory alarm.

They said it starts then dies. Need Help

Hi Steve, there could be many causes for this---hope it's not because too much dust got in clogging the air filter. Hope someone closer can get in there to check it out with you, I would like to be some help; I'm not on the island before the weekend.

Well it ended up being the driver dorr lock keeping the alarm on. Used the passenger door to shut it off. Thanks so much to Kevin Murphy of PSH Porsche Spoken Here. Keven picked up the car fixed it and sent it back to body shop within hours. Ahhhhhhh, happy again.

My new Shop for the 928 and 944, Porsche Spoken Here. The joys of Porsche ownership, breaking down and meeting new people to help. Gotta love it.
