Thanks guys!

Went out to the shop this morning to play with my new toy.....

Empty.....she stole it again!

While I am standing there staring at the clean concrete floor (no leaks at all!)

I get a call.....

"Honey is there some sort of secret handshake? There is a guy in a Carrera thingy blowing his horn and giving me thumbs up like mad to my left and a Boxter waving and flashing his lights at me to my right!"

My first reply "Check the gauges! Do you smell anything burning!"

Second reply "Babe you are a hot woman in a hot car!" (this will score me brownie points later)

Going back to the random 928 picture thread (****) as once again I am sharkless...............

Or maybe I can drop the spare 406 small block in HER Mazda SUV...........she wanted a Hybrid!

Pull the ignition coil wires after every drive.... It's the only way to be sure... Looks like you need another shark. If you like the 86.5, you might want to bait her with an S4... Look for her favorite color... Tell her it's got more ponies...

Joe,

I am telling you... it won't be long and you will be calling to come pick up my '84! You would then have matching (almost) exterior 928's! The '84 not nearly as fast as the '86.5, but fun just the same!

Stop encouraging the wife's behaviour!

Next thing you know she will want equality and voting rights!

Love you honey!

Joe, you are a bad, BAD man! LOL!

Just wait...you have only begun to feel the pain of the symptoms of 928itis! You will be calling Paul Champagne for interior parts, searching high and low for more 928's to buy...some to drive immediately others to restore the way you want them... You just watch! You are a big time gear head and this car is going to get in to you like you have never felt or expected! Seems to have already got a pretty good hold on your wife!

Ok now I have had a chance to do some stuff!

Cleaned all ground points, Cleaned FI Brain connectors, (deoxit is great stuff!)

Cleaned all fuses and relay contacts, Resoldered cruise brain (it works!)

Lubed and adjusted thottle linkage/kickdown.

Repaired wimpy Horn (Thar she blows matey)

Tested Vacuum lines.

Gave her a good buffing.

What a beast! Pulls like a freight train all the way up to the line. Kickdown is like hitting the giggle gas. Absolutely a pleasure to drive and quiet, (stock muffler) just a nice hard push back in the seat and she holds you there to the next shift.

I have driven/owned a bunch of great cars and you know how sometimes you just do not feel the connection to some.....well this baby has me like super glue!

I love my 86.5!

Thanks to the WSM and the great posts here, all of the above tasks were a doddle. A big thank you to all rennlisters!
