Default Twinturbo marine 928 engine.

A few pics I took beginning of the month in the new Porsche museum. Probably already covered at some stage but just in case...

Wow! That's cool. Especially the placard. 748HP! I wonder if they modified many of the internals?

Thank you very much for sharing.

Sure they do, once you get above runabout.
Porsche Design offered a cigarette boat for sale about 20 years ago. Don't recall what power plants it had.

Are you drinking tonight? It's an engine for a boat, not a 928...

Typical Porsche attention to detail, water cooled turbine housings, note the screw in freeze plugs on them.

I had been contemplating revisiting Stuttgart to catch the new Porsche museum, now I've made my mind up. If it is anything like the Mercedes museum it will require a good day to enjoy.

Cheers Roy

I would think the power steering pump would operate the out drives and the trim tabs unless the trims were electric.
If this engine was put into a car the way it sits the sump would hit the ground

"Complex dual cooling circuit..." Like every other salt water set up in the world...

Very cool engine. Shows promise for my dreams of twin K27s on the Hybrid 16v...

I'm thinking about what it would take to replace an idle valve or knock sensor on that beast... heck - even a spark plug would require an engineer with monkey arms.
