Good god, I want it. Makes me all the more excited to be going to see my 79 tomorrow, with its custom 4.7 engine...

Something about those older ones. But you can't drive them. You can't park them somewhere. You would have to have them in a bubble.

Not so with restored.

BrendanC,
Why can't you drive this one? Just because it has less than 50K miles? If I had the money, I would love to have this car, and I would probably daily drive it. I have told James that I would drive Blue82 like I stole it.
Come to think of it, I would have to STEAL it to drive it.

I probably would. But I would also probably put it together much as it was when I started. Only older cars are subjected to the cutting, trimming, shaping, and changing that I have pictured in my head.

Why do you say that? What do you see wrong with the way the car sits now?

From experience many have noted that 928 shocks have a shelf life of about 10 - 15 years regardless of mileage. Unless this car has had shocks recently it will probably need them due to age. Certainly doesn't mean the car won't be driveable, it just means it won't offer the handling it was meant to provide.

Sounds like your considering picking it up
