I thought the magnet was out (in two pieces not pictured in this post). I carefully drilled, Felt a little give, and pulled out a little piece with a tap. I I thought was the bottom of it and didn't want to drill into the flywheel so picked around some (EWO), out comes copper windings and more plastic.
And now it seems there is more magnet much deeper.

from under the car open the bell housing and grab the remainder with some needle nose pliers it should fall out

I tried Bertrand's method and it did not work for me. I took the clutch out and once that task was done the CPS was out a short time later. I did not pull the flywheel, I carefully worked around it to systematically destroy and remove what was left of the CPS.
oh by the way, my clutch is just about toast so I'm getting a new clutch.
