Nicole, I was on your site and I see nothing for lighting the shifter lever for an auto transmission. I am assuming that that is lit, ever since I have had the car it has been off. Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Drew:

The earlier cars had illuminated letters in the sifter plate. However, once the instruments displayed the gears, Porsche stopped installing the illumination. The only possible reasons I can think if is to save a few cents, or to avoid any reflections from that light.

I don't currently have an LED solution, other than a complete shifter plate with leather boot. However, I should point out that one does not indicate the gear you're in - only the letters are illuminated. There is no easy way to mimic the automatic slider - which in turn causes the jerky shifter movement...

Chris:

I resell the Jager kits - if they have it, I can get it. I also offer LED conversions for side markers and front turn signals.

I don't currently stock all the other special LED bulbs.

Thanks for the pics and links.

I think I'm going blue, it matches my stereo and Sirius radio that way... hopefully
won't look too rice, however switching to white doesn't sound that hard.

Does anyone know of a blue led that will replace the "AC" button light in the console.

It would be sweet if I could get that to be blue as well.

You can buy little latex 'condoms' for bulbs to change their color - Porsche used red ones on standard bulbs for the later model LCD display warning mode.

You can buy the same in Blue and convert regular bulbs - probably the cheapest & simplest way to go. I know they sell red, blue & green - probably more.

You can get them from Mouser electronics - here are some examples of indicator bulbsthere is a red 'condom' on one and a larger Blue 'condom' on another(dash illum): it just covers the bulb part.
