Sun Visor Trouple

Ok, Im going to look like a complete moron, but if I get a correct answer, I dont care. When we bought the car, I found sun visors that were detached, and clips. I installed the clips, but cant see how on earth they are suppose to work with the sun visors. Eventually I assumed they were for the wrong vehicle, as I could not locate any picture of 928 sun visors (despite them being all over ebay, I know) But the clips pelican parts, and others show are exactly what I need, and have.
Eventually I tried to install the sunvisors, and notice that they seemed correct after all, with the leather being imprinted and screw holes, that and a 928 part number on the pivoting plastic that cannot be looked up on the web. So they are the correct sunvisors, they are the correct clips, but how on earth do they function together? The opening in the clip is too small. Theres no way it'll fit. Did they make different size clips that look identical to each other?

when fastening the inner clips and the pass side visor be careful about pinching the center light harness wires. if you do then you can fry the rear wire harness.
The wires are routed along the pass side edge of the roof then are in a small channel along the front edge and then pass very close to the inner PS side visor securing point

Ok, apparently that was it. These are the correct parts. You just have to REALLY push and pull HARD if you want to ever mess with them. Tighting the screw does make it more difficult, but the clip jiggles and moves around if I dont. I just fear that one of these days the whole headliner is going to pull right off when trying to remove the visor from the clip. I claim "poor design" on that one.

Another thing you could do is get some 1/8" thick aluminum at the hardware store and cut out some shapes that match the base of the clip and have the smallest hole possible to clear the screw in the center. Black out the edges with a sharpie. With the custom aluminum washer in place you should be able to get the clips much tighter without them deforming and closing down. I think I shaved mine so they didn't grip the visors so tight -- another option.
