GTS fuel filler door picture wanted.
I need a close up picture of the linkage and spring orientation on a GTS filler door.
Specificially the links, there are two different links and each can go two different ways and the way the spring goes.
I think I have it right, but it does not want to hold all the way in at the closed position.
If any one can help me on this

Yes Dave, that really helps, thank you.
I do not have mine together right, just one question, on the back link, the one that is closest to the screws that hold it to the body, does the curve in that link go to the back or the front?

Here's a picture of the door in the half-way position. Dayum, I think you've discovered the part of the car with the highest density of moving parts. If the answer to your question is not yet illuminated, stick an arrow on one of my pictures that points to the place of which you need a better picture.

So the middle of the curve in the link that does not show up good in the photos
(because it is behind the first link) goes to the front? the best way I can say this ic the link is slightly shaped like a ) and the middle of this goes -----> front of the car like this )---->
How hard does yours stay closed, I know that is a subjective thing.
The links (what I am calling them) are the two distinct parts that has the straked pins that hold them in place.

I tell, ya, though... this GTS filler door has nothing at all to do with a pre-GTS door. It is a Rube Goldberg kinda device. The body-colored "links" are, I think, in fact, the spring that keeps the door closed. When you open or close the door they do something.... I'll need to go look more closely. I'm not sure I wanna take it apart either.

There's also a gasket between the body and the screw-in hinge plate.
I'm not sure how your door arrived - as N distinct pieces or an assembly. I'm assuming the former. If the latter then I'd have to wonder if all the bits and pieces are correct out-of-the box, because once assembled it only goes on one way.
If this doesn't get you where you need to be, send pictures of what you've got.

Trust me, DO NOT TAKE IT APART!
you would have to destroy the pins to get it apart.
I have enough information to figure it out now, there is only four ways the one link can go, and I think it is symmectrical, so that narrows it down to just 2.
Thank you so much Dave, I can get it now.

In an effort to make absolutely sure I know to what you are referring: the curved middle of the spring is out of focus. If what you are referring to his hidden or partially occluded by something else then I'm not writing about the right part.
It's 'solid'? It closes and you know it's closed.
Ah. The body-colored piece(s) that are between the door and the body-colored bracket screwed to the body?

Mine was new and came as parts, some of them wrong...... but very close (thanks to Roger for getting some one else's screw up and getting me the right stuff)
I see you have taken yours off, can you take one more pic from the back? (but only if you have it off)
Maybe I can see which way the back link goes.
