Default pin removal / transmission removal

I tried all kinds of ways to remove the pin that holds the rear shockabsorber but it will not let go. Is it possible to lower the whole subassembly including the shockabsorbers so I can take this assembly minus gearbox to a shop that is better equiped to disassemble the shockabsorber?
Current status is that the TT and engine are out of the car so this seems to be a good moment to do various jobs in the rear too. Like replacing the rusty fuel line that goes back to the fuel tank.

Put the rear nut only back on and tighten it. Then try to turn the whole pin by tightening the rear nut more. while tapping the the front end of the pin with a hammer (put the front nut back on to protect the threads or use a copper hammer.

The pin normally gets stuck on the conical washers that sit each side of the hub carrier. If one of these (probably the rear one if you're pushing the pin out to the rear) tilts over it will lock upon the pin. In this case twisting the pin helps free it up. also try bashing the pin the other way as this could help to free it up.

Also try pouring boiling water down the hole at the top of the hub carrier - it will cascade down onto the pin inside the carrier and dissolve any corrosion between the aluminium carrier and the zinc plated pin.

try squirting a penatrant oil into the underside of the hub carriers, ( the pin can be seen in these holes)this is where most of the corrosion on the link will be you may have to turn the pin and scrape off as much as you can with a screw driver .
Use the previously suggested method of turning the and tapping on the pin.
Make sure to roll the pin after is out to check for true, add a good amount of antiseize to the pin on installation

Be very careful tapping on the end of the pin, you can mushroom it or bend it. Thread the nut partway on to the end you are tapping, at least until you get it moving. Use a deadblow or brass hammer to keep from damaging the pin. You can also spray PB Blaster or Kroil in the hole that Jon mentions, and the hole on the bottom of the carrier, and on the cone washers, then let it sit overnight before trying the other things that Jon suggested.
