Default Source for Fisher Price Safe Voyage Booster Seat

Does anyone have a source for this booster seat or the Britax Starriser Booster?

After searching the forum I was excited to find a model that would fit, but it seems the Fisher Price Safe Voyage is not available at the moment.

Anyone have one or two they will not longer be needing in the near future?

Britax will fit and should be available at ToysrUs, Sears and Baby'sRUs.

I need to revisit the booster seat this spring.

You can also use the Britax Bodyguard, which is a beefier, more modern version of the Star Riser.

Brian,

Were you able to get the Britax Bodyguard to fit in your 928?
When I measure with a tape, I have 14" of width, and the specs for the Bodyguard are:
17"W x 14 1/2"D x 34"H
If it worked for you, please let me know. Thanks.

Ashfin,
Thanks for the tips, but we struck out at Sears, Target, ToysRus / BabiesRus, every booster seat we checked was too wide.

Sorry John, I didn't realize you were looking for the booster seat. I'm in the same boat as you, I need to find a booster this spring. Considering that the booster is a glorified phone book you would think more options would be available.

Ashfin,
No worries, I was hoping someone had a "special" source, as there just is not much out there to fit in the back of our 928's. It seems last fall there were some great close out prices for the Fisher Price Safe Voyage booster seat for ~$40, but everywhere I look they are no longer in stock.
Do let me know if you have any luck when you begin your search.

I can confirm that the Britax Bodyguard works in the backseat of the 928. It's tight, but it does fit. Personally, I think it offers a lot more protection than the Star Riser, especially given the way the belts tighten.

Have to have shoulder belt for it to work?

I think it's a good idea and the manufactuer says so. The seat back can pivot/recline, which also gives it the ability to move foward during a panic stop or collision. Without a shoulder belt, it would contribute to the forward impact.

With that said, I've used both the Bodyguard and the Star Riser in my Speedster replica which only has lap belts. I figure the best way to avoid injury is to avoid an accident in the first place.

I bought 1 on craigslist, and 2 on ebay. You can use "craigshelper" to search multiple craigslists in your area.
