Painted my centercaps
I thought my wheels were looking a bit bland, a bit simple, so I decided to paint the center caps. It costs about 8 euro in paint and brushes.
Before:
After:
If you look carefully, the metallic paint it pretty thick which makes it harder to paint. You have to freestyle instead of following the lines.
The paint and brushes I bought:
Revell KLAR 731
Revell 94
Humbrol Enamel Gloss 21
Little warning, I painted the centercaps on my 944 too and tried two clear coats back then. They both dissolved the paint. So I left it without and after 6 months I had on one wheel some touch up to do and the rest was still spotless.
Making sure my cats wouldn't step / sleep on them while they dry:
The result, looks a bit rough from up close, but looks great on the wheels:
Oooh:
Ooooooooh:

Several years ago I acquired a set of center caps that a prior owner had hand painted. Since the paint was in pretty bad condition, I stopped by my local model airplane shop & picked up a selection of Testor "Model Master" paints and very painstakingly touched up/repainted all four of the crests.
After I was finished, I realized that the prior owner had reversed the red and the black sections on the Porsche crests! Nobody but me has ever noticed - until now anyway....

hehe, yes its reversed. But it does look pretty damn good! Cool idea to paint the complete background of the red/black stripes. Although its not original, it is a fun idea!
He painted it VERY detailed I have to say. Great job.
@obehave, paint codes were Revell KLAR 731, Revell 94 and Humbrol Enamel Gloss 21.

Concor:
Just noticed what appears to be a second lock/key hole just below the rub strip on your door. What's that for? Certainly not anything "factory" that I've ever seen.
