I am sure I heard a story like this where a harley with straight pipe went belowing by while the cop was telling the car driver his exhaust was too loud. the guy comments about the harley and the cop just shrugs. also heard some story many states do not have ANY noise restrictions on bikes, but do on cars.

now with my headers, magnaflows and 3" exhaust, I definitely need to take it easy when a cop is around. not bad when driven easy, but gets loud/howls when driven in anger. since just an 84 US spec, sounds faster than it is ... for now.

I dream of an SC in my future, then sound and capability will be better matched.

I never get onto a side road and have a kid with ball run out. Reason is the all stop and are watching for what's coming.

Amen brother ... there are Harleys over here that would wake the dead !! ... and they're usually ridden by members of a bikie gang and the cops are too scared to pull them over.
