Chinese junk as far as I can tell. I put some on my 64 Falcon once because they were the cheapest (by far) tire at the local shop. The tires you're looking at are different in size and rating, but the ones I bought were low quality.

I will never knowingly put another Chinese tire on any of my vehicles...

I had some no name "Oshtu" tires on my 88 when I got it......in short THEY SUCKED big time.....when I put the 18" wheels with Conti Sport Contact II's on..the improvement in grip was incredible......and the Michelin PS2's on my M3 are even better....... You really do get what you pay for in tires.... I will never put anything other than top quality tires on any of my cars...since your life does depend on it!

IIRC they, Nankang, started many years ago with scooter and small m/cycle tyres and progressed from there.

They were cheep junk 20 years ago and are probably same today.

The twin seq turbo'd Aristo (4 door rocket & handles too) i just picked up has nankang tires on 19" Lowenhart rims. rears are big 265-35-19. to my surprise they are pretty good, car handles sick. lowered with tanabe suspension it matches the GTS, feels lighter too.

Thanks guys. I welcome all opinions. Question is has anybody actually ran these tires? Shark_gts actually has run them and thinks their pretty good. In the "no way" group does anyone have first hand experience with these tires? Just so I'm clear I'm not trying to stir up trouble just looking for the facts. When I put the Fuzion tires on my Corvette they were a brand new tire that just came out. I took a chance on them because the price was excellent. I was very happy with the handling. Jason

Checkout Sumitomo's from TireRack. I talked to Damien looking for 18" and he suggested Sumitomo. Anybody have experience with that make, the price is RIGHT!

I think I have the Sumitomo's on my old PD's and they were great.

Default Sumitomo....

I put 18 inch Sumitomo (HTR III's) on my 97 Mercedes E420, which has a staggered setup. The car is also lowered. They have been excellent, and they now have about 7k miles on them, plenty of ride left, and a real bargain in my opinion...

I did quite a bit of research on lower cost tires when I put the 18's on my Benz, the sumitomo's seemed to be the best choice....

Yep..

Sumitomo HTRZ III are great for the price - grippy, quiet and fairly stiff sidewall. Definitely recommend them - I bought them after reading the threads on rennlist about them. They're made in Japan, although Dunlop owns the brand (the HTRZ III's look very similar tread pattern to the higher end Dunlop Sport). Definitely recommend.

My previous tires were Kumho Ecsta's (PO's choice).

Big long 993 thread here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-any-good.html

Make sure you don't end up with the HTRZ II - they're way less stiff on the sidewall and feel very vague by all accounts (although I have no personal experience with them - just did a lot of reading Rennlist for opinions).

One of the Landsharks listers had them for a while and was distinctly unimpressed after ending up in the fields. Don't recall the specific Nankang tyre model though.

I have a set of 18's on my track car and was very impressed in the rain at Thunderhill last week end.

I'd ask if those Nankang are ZR rated tires, it doesn't mention in the ad, plus it mentions they are all season tires.

Most have said that the SUmitomo is the best deal out there for performance value, I have the SUmitomo HTRzIII and am pleased with them.
