IIRC, Carl had a jack pad thing made for the 928. Thick rubber padding on a disk with a pin in the middle to align with the 928 pads. My guess is that he has the rubber there someplace in Wi. The used tire trick is way too simple...

That is the priority use - secondary will be when jacking up the 928 using the front or rear crossmember.
