I assume you make use of the knowledge over on the various MSEFI forums. I found this thread of interest, although if you go with 36-1 it may not apply :

I am going with a 36-1. What model bike are you converting? I have my 1998 suzuki DR 350 dual sport running on a MSI fuel only.

I'm doing a 1981 Yamaha XV920R, fuel and spark (turbocharged).
I like the size of the Microsquirt, but since a MS II can run the 'dual spark' code (I need due to the 75 degree cyl angle) AND can do both boost control and knock sense with minimal external components, I'm finding a place to stuff the larger box.

Hey all, last week was slow on the conversion, I had no weekend time to do anything. Today I machined up an adapter to use a GM potentiometer style TPS to adapt to the porsche throttle body. A picture is below.
I am thrilled that I will now have true acceleration enrichments as opposed to the factory LH TPS that only knew if the throttle was at idle or wot. MS also has decceleration enrichments so that the crackle in the exhaust will be gone when you let off the gas.

Here's a couple of shots, but they don't show the tooth orientation. Check with Colin (lizard) as he knows exactly where the gap in the toothed ring should sit..I can't remember offhand.
BTW..here's a link to the shots I took while converting mine .
