Default Ford Injectors in Euro LH

Has anyone done this yet? Comparing the 4 hole injector tip to the single hole I'm just wondering about the spray pattern. But then again the pintle cap is the same diam so 4 hole spray angle can't be that much wider.

I have been using Ford Motorsport Injectors on my Euro S 16V Prototype Twin Screw System for a while and they work great. I am temporarily using S4 fuel rails.

The Ford Injectors are of multi hole tip?

That's a good question, I am not sure if they are the "normal" type or the 4 hole. I will check my notes and see if I can confirm. Worse case I am taking the system off in a few weeks for new upgrades and will double check for you.

I wouldn't put the long pintle cap in place of the short one. The pintle caps are protective, and if they are the correct one, they don't affect the spray pattern. So, I would just leave the caps off rather than swapping, unless there is something odd about the Euro LH manifold.

The plastic pintle caps seal the little o ring in the intake runner. Bill your saying not to use the pintle caps?

You should also chewck the new O rings for the sealing area as they may be wider and may push the pintle cap(tan one off a bit to the tip), I would leave the tan ones on there . The caps are there to protect the tips from heat, the longer tip will probably interfere with the spray pattern

Pintle caps are a direct replacment in order to fit into the Euro 16v runners.
So I have three reply's that 4 hole injectors will work in the 16v head design.

I asked an injector specialty company (I forget who) about this about two years ago. After doing some research on our injectors, they said don't use the 4-hole. They couldn't say for sure, but they thought the chance of a minor benefit wasn't worth the risk. They think that our injectors are too far from the intake tract and the wider spray of the 4-holes will hit the tube.

PM Greg Gray - memory says he's using 4-hole injectors in his 16V stroker.

Oh, so, the lower o-ring does not go into the Euro manifold? With 32V motors, the pintle cap has nothing to do with sealing and you can just as well leave them off. Sealing is all done by the lower o-ring.

Bill - Correct.

Xlot, I did ask Greg and he is using multi hole injectors. Delphi I think.

Matt, That's what I worried about. Kevin said the same thing that the 4 hole spray patten hits the intake walls.
