Default Stop Lamp Warning Question

When the car is started the stop lamp warnig light comes on immediately.
If I step on the brakes the light goes off and doesn't come back on.
All of the bulbs are correct and working. That includes the side marker and license lamps
Anyone had a similar problem or possible solution?

Thanks in advance

That is how the system does it's check. It cannot check the circuit until the circuit gets activated via the brake pedal.

Normal. Since I back into my parking space at work, sometimes that light doesn't go out till I'm halfway home if I hit all the green lights and nobody cuts me off.

Gregg: You are probably going to want to check ebay from time to time to pick up an Owner's Manual. Depending on your MY (???), they run about $25.
