Default Windshield monkey snot

On the top corner of my windscreen is a section about the size of a fist, I think its where the water has got into it, and its turned white and looks like monkey snot. I could get a new screen, I will eventually when I get a respray. In the mean time is there an external wind screen trim that anyone could recommend for the job, it needs to be on the outside and therefore very strong. I bought a one for the inside but it doesnt hide the white snot.

I'm not sure what trim you might be referring to. The cloudy white obscuring disease that I have seen is not repairable and covering a fist sized "thing" on the screen might be preferable to the white stuff, but it will probably get worse unless you keep it dry. I've only seen this on very old cars as in "barnfind" and one GT that had been sitting outside for about a year.

Ive managed to get one from Demongraphics.co.uk, its called a vinly sun visor strip and its black and goes on the outside. My car is always garaged but I dont know where it was kept before I had it and its always been there, it doesnt seem to be getting any worse due always being garaged.

What previous activity has resulted in you being an expert at identifying monkey snot?
