Nicobel does not know his 928's either to state that "it is probably the lowest mile 928 out there." Not only do I have the only '92 GTS in the US, my '82 Comp Pkg 928 has 3625 miles on it and my good friend Chuck has Kermit with 1426 miles and I know of a few more ('90 S4 comes to mind w/ 3900 miles) that have fewer than 6k miles too...
Thanks for the clarification
I've been 928-less for some time now, maybe I need to get back in touch.

Nicobel,

Considering what you have in the hanger a GTS would fit right in! Maybe the one Wilhoit is now selling for close to $100k! Love the birds you have listed man! I just sold my hanger...was hoping to park my own Piper Comanche in it, but alas it is not to be... at least not at this point in my life. I'll just play with my 928's for now!

Good luck finding the right 928 to make your heart sing again...they are simply AWESOME cars!

Actually, 1992 was the first year of the GTS; however, they just didn't import any into the United States of America

actually they kinda were 1992 models, but they were just listed as 1993's They sold 1993 model cars in early 92 as 93's

But there are 2 types of 93's, the early 1992 built 5000 series vin, and the later 1993 built 0xxx series vin's

Erkka pointed out the differences between the 2 in another thread.

Yea, and I kinda have a MILLION dollars in my 401k if the stock market would go up a lot...

If you use the above logic (as some like to) then most of the cars that people drive today are really a year model older than they were sold as...

VIN #'s tell the story for the manufacturer, if the VIN has the proper letter that corresponds to '92 then it is a '92, even if it were built in '90... If the VIN has the letter for '93 and it was built in '94, it is STILL a '93 model. You can get technical with the build dates if you like, but it is what the factory says it is and that is the letter designation within the VIN.

Current bid on the GTS is $88,600. Not bad!

If that is a REAL bid, and there is real money behind that he better take it and NOT LOOK BACK!
