The $4500 89 5sp is home
So, when you unload the $4500 89 5sp off the trailer & open the hatch this is what you find:
Fender covers
Porsche Car Cover
New Porsche bra
New Motor Mounts
New WSM
New blower motor relay
New Oil pan gasket
New wiper arms
New L & R Door Seals
New Fuel Pump (& other) relays- 3
Used Starter
Original Mirrors & hardware
Stacks of receipts
The car runs, but only on half the motor. I spent several hours yesterday cleaning the interior & investigating under the hood. It appears that one of the ignition control modules is not working. I first found the pass side exhaust temp sensor unplugged with a badly deteriorated connector- I got it re-connected (nearly a Houdini event) but that made no difference. I checked spark with my inductive timing light & found only the passenger side coil functioning. Then I swapped connections on the ignition control modules & got spark on the drivers side so I'm thinking I have a bad module.
Other discoveries under the hood: Both knock sensor connectors are deteriorated & jury-rigged. The front fuel line between the rails has been cut & pasted with fuel line & clamps. I have a recent receipt for R&R of the intake manifold along with some other stuff, but it appears that nothing was cleaned & the valley is a mess with oil & grime. The intake & valve covers are in bad need of refinishing.
I haven't had time to go through all the receipts, but if they're anything like the one I have attached, the previous owner was paying for an addition on the mechanic's home.
The body is remarkably straight, though somewhat grimy, & will look very nice after I take the Porter Cable polisher to it. Interior is very good with the only bad spot on the driver's seat bolster- there is an extiguisher mount on the pass. seat which will be removed as it interferes with the seat travel.

Please replace the fuel hose clamps ASAP with proper fule injection clamps, otherwise the repair of that line is better than the original setup.
The coolant in the overflow tank looks green...it shouldn't be. Rest of the issues look minor.

WOW! Those knock sensors are an all too familiar sight! Mako 928 and I had to rebuild/replace my harnesses too since they looked just like that.

Forgot, here is a scan of service bill
I mentioned in the post above that the previous owner had spent copious amounts of money on this car. Here is a scan of the final proverbial straw.
Brian
86 5sp, Silbermetallic/Maroon- gone
90GT, Guards Red/Lt Grey- gone
89 5sp, White/Dark Blue, 163K- forced to purchase

Them's there special Porsche Orings @ 2 per injector makes them ~$10 ea.
I had all 8 injectors, flow tested, cleaned re-flow tested, new O rings and filters replaced for less money.
Great find Brian but so sorry for the PO.
