In the middle of my refurb project on my 1982. Previous owner had spliced in a Kenwood Receiver. I decided to go back to stock-yes the Cassette-with a Dearborn Blaupunkt (as close to stock as I could get). Problem is the wiring. The 928 original wiring shows the Brown Ground wire with the Striped Brown wire and the Red with the Red Striped. I know the Solid Red is straight to the ignition and the Striped Red is to the fuse box. The Dearborn handles that ok. Its the striped brown(ground) I don't know what to do with as far as connecting to the Dearborn Blaupunkt. They don't offer a connection for that. FYI my original 928 had the Fader Control and the Amp on the passenger. Amp was removed and the Fader control wiring is completely gone at the boxes (redoing carpeting now as well). Any thought on what to do with this striped ground?

You don't need the striped (=> switched) ground it is likely for the alarm (if you have one).
Terminology:
Red is direct to Battery, Red w/white stripe is accessory switched (not ignition), Solid brown is ground - if you don't see it - connect directly to a ground point (in console or above CE panel).
None of the supplies to the radio comes from the fuse box or is fused...(so be careful and either use a radio that is fused or add a fuse)

Thanks very much. Ok all good on the power issues. Any thoughts on what the wire color is for the Antennae? The Dearborn Blaupunkt has a separate wire for that.
