A local managed to revive his stored-for-years 85 Euro only after all the gunk and varnish was cleaned from the fuel system and injectors. Greg Brown did the revival. After hearing about all the fun they had with injectors, fuel filters and fuel pump, I'd be tempted to pull the pumps, drain and clean the tank with the pumps removed, and use a separate utility pump to circulate cleaner (mineral spirits/turpentine) through the system to flush. Then pull and clean the injectors before even trying to start the car the first time.
For the pumps, the temptation would be to soak them in paint thinner for a few days to soften any varnish inside, run them briefly with the paint thinner to flush, then circulate some lubricant through them. Marvel Mystery Oil would be OK if you have it, or some ATF would do just as well. Just needs to lube/cool the pump until good fuel is sent through. If the pumps make any funny noises, replace now and get it over with.

I would replace all rubber fuel hoses, pump a cleaner through the lines, and have injectors rebuilt. If you do this you will have minimal issues starting it.

Thank all of you, belated, for the advice.
Pulled the CE panel, will rehab tonight or tomorrow.
Little interior damage, no nests behind it, need to pull seats and console side covers next.
Mice have been inside, and all over the engine compartment, but zero damage identified so far.
Changed oil and filter.
We pulled the outer intake covers and plugs.
Shop vac on the plug holes
A couple oz. of 10W30 through a straw, chased by a squirt of Sea Foam lube, down each hole.
27MM socket, very slowly, moved it. No resistance. Went to 0 degrees. Straw showed #1 piston at top of stroke, or very close. I can't tell you how happy that made us. Good sign.
Plugs all look good, no fouling, good color. Put them back in, closed it up.
Next step is total fuel system purge, per your recommendations. Will go new with pump, filter, hoses, probably injectors. As soon as we are sure we have some compression!
Thanks again for the advice. We want very badly to get this one back onto the road.

Very nice find. Very similar to mine except more complete (I am envious).
Once I checked the belt integrity I did a compression test (no fuel/ no spark) to detemine if the engine stayed in or came out. Compression was resonable so I did the TB/WP, intake refresh, oil and coolant before it ever ran.
It tool a while but when it did start and run it was sure a great feeling.
