ok my first thought is thats insane money for a 90 model GT with no airbags

But then, did anyone else notice this drivers door panel? Check it out, is that a storage compartment in the drivers door where the change organizer usually goes? Anyone else seen one of these before? How cool. (I would post a pi but i cant save one of that autoscout side dammit!)

Also check out the center console, WTF is all that there? what are those 2 rotary switches for where the armrest is?

This car also has some type of large display where the stereo would normally be, but most everything else i mention looks like it came from some really odd factory parts bin ive never seen before.

I was about to say that I've seen that compartment someplace else, but it was most likely on this same car. Odd, and probably handy.

The worse part is the conversion companies ( only a few left ) have you by the gonads. The car you import could potentially sit there for years if you are not dealing with reputable people. DOT EPA have no sympathy for anyone. ( ask Bill Gates ) Wallace international is as bad as anyone else. I would NEVER advise anyone to import a Euro car into the US unless you really know what you are doing. These so called importers are all Scumbags! ( I have extensive experience in this area ) If anyone is actually thinking of doing so, you may want to contact me First. I have valuable information and direct phone numbers to the tippy top of EPA and DOT. If your car only took 4 months, I would say you were either full of it, someone cut corners, or you are the MAN! Congrats.
Maybe you treated them poorly and they returned the favor... I have worked with WETL personally on my own car and facilitated the '95 import. They were quite professional and prompt with both of us. As noted it was 4-5 months on the '95 and I told them to take their time on my '92 (I didn't have a place to park it), not to mention I was providing all the parts for the conversion to them so it took 9+ months vs. the 4 that is should have taken.

Of course some cars are more difficult to work with and get parts for so that could take more time and yea they may have more or less business at any given time, but it is a reasonable way to go and if I found a Euro car I could not live w/o I would not hesitate one minute to have it sent to WETL in Houston for the conversion process...

As noted some businesses are better than others too... Some are fly by nighters out to steal from you, others take pride in their work and give you the best job that they can give you. That is the way it is in EVERY business though.

That GT looks great. I wonder if the center console has been modified, maybe a stereo? There's also a weird looking wire that wraps around the engine bay and is hooked up the front fenders and radiator with white plastic clips, never seen that before.

The CD Holder is a very cool option and yes it is very handy. It's easily within reach and you can grab a CD at a stop light. Only problem is that you have to memorize where you placed each cd since they aren't really visible when inserted.

Here's a shot of it in my GT.

Lol? Who cares about airbags? It's probably worth more without them.

Is it just me, or does that GT have flared rear fenders?

Can't really tell but anyone else notice the antenna on the rear quarter? Looks like a special car.
