The eyes, look into thier eyes. That's how you know they are dead.
Yes to each thier own. At least they used cars that would have been crushed or parted.
But it still looks like they have no life in them. At least not as we know it.

OK, but one only has to look at the current HEMI---6.1L and 425 hp. fully compliant with EPA and almost 100hp than a GTS......

Ok, take what Russ said and replace Hemi with Black Widow ZR1. It was the skunk works option for the Corvette ZR1. Started in 1991 or so, offered 475+hp with full emissions equipment out of 350 cubic inches. Not to mention a lighter motor.
Even without that option, the "regular" ZR1 started with 375hp, jumping to 405 soon after.

Again, another good example of what Porsche missed out on.....

Concours competition is not necessarily about restoring the car back to factory original, but much about how clean the car is......

I won a concours contest with my Euro, and it was so far from original---- but it was the cleanest of the cars in my class, and when the points were totaled up, I got the most points and won...


Aside from all of this, the BBC weighs the same in all aluminum trim (block and heads) as the P-car motor. The extra weight is in the blower and carbs....maybe 150 lbs. When you consider that this package is probably doing an easy 600-700hp, the extra 100 lbs is a no-brainer.

The only true crime of this blown Chebby conversion is the 4" lift kit.
The 928 chassis just have this magical qualities of diving into corner and
ripping through it with careless abandon.
Never driven a pinned rear axle so I don't know if it's the Weissach axle that makes going round bends so much fun.

Honestly if I was given this car, I'd rock it out on weekend shows. I'd clean it up first, but I'd rock it. I'd also change the intake to a side filtered set up, loose the Mr.Gasket scoop and put a fiberglass scoop over the whole thing. Then drop the ride height back down.
