Infinitely variable from 0-100 is the best for me for street driving, now that I've driven both old and new for a while to get a fair chance to compare.

OK, but as Carl describes, does checking it with one wheel on the ground ( or fixed) and turning the other with a torque wrench gives us a reliable idea ?
I mean, does rotating it by hand ( slow) gives a exact number as driving it , so the friction plates are rotating so much quicker ???

V8-Man,

The only way I would race anything less than a G28/10 is if I had a bunch of them like what Mark Anderson had and then got to the point of seeing the light :-)

I started with a G28/05, rebuilt it (big bucks) added LSD, replaced it with the G28/08 (transferred LSD), then finally found the G28/13 with LSD.

I will be happy to sell you the box, the 40% LSD is super tight, and the newer 20% is just as tight too! So, I agree with Errka on the lockup issues.

2.73 iirc cause it is vastly different from my current G28/13 with a 2.20

It came out of 84 US, and I have the TT for it too.

The tranny is out of an 84 (think it is US).

I paid to have the LSD taken out of the rebuilt 05 and put into the 08 and the 08 open diff put back into the 05 so their rings should match their correct years.

All I know is the 05 that replaced the 08 behaved the exact same way and shift ranges and top end, so it must have been a Euro/ROW 84 because it is nothing like the 13 which is in there now

The 05/08 ran about 2800 rpms in 5th around 75MPH while the 13 runs 2200 rpms around 75MPH.

i have a M 220 limited slip dif. from a S4 auto in my sparepart room.The diff fits also in a 5speed.It´s complete with housing.

Hey Andre

I don`t have an unlimited number of trannys to play with, so I think I`ll listen to that advice

According to the WSM the G28/13 is for USA/Japan 87/88. Will that fit an euro TT?

Is it the 13 you are selling? I`m confused

Is Karsten a scandinavian name?Anyway,northgermany is like southsdenmark. ;-)

I ask 500 € plus shipping.A new one is ~1750 €.928 international ask 950 $.

I´don´t know how much shipping to norway cost.The housing plus dif is heavy.

We must compare numbers in PET because I buy this one for my 85 auto.After looking in the transmission we find a m220.
So,i can sell it.

A G28/07 is fine for track use with stockish power. My car has a G28/05 with LSD. The CV joints and LSD were trashed after a couple weekends at VIR, but the tranny itself works perfectly fine.

I plan to just upgrade the exhaust and run a DTA S80 management system with "coil per plug" so I guess we`re talking stockish power. hhhhmmmm.......
