Is that piece of weather stripping used on the GTS along the edge of the windsield destroyed when the windshield is removed? It sits between the trim and the glass and is meant to cut down on wind noise.

Tony I recently installed these strips on S4 (they do cut down wind noise dramatically).

Don't see why they would be destroyed removing screen unless the factory-installed ones use some kind of adhesive? Should be easy to remove, especially if you just pull off the trim piece at the side.
