Default 78-79 euro heads (intake port shape, etc) different from US 80-82?

I understand the heads may have some CIS stuff on them (or be lacking something for EFI) but are there any physical differences in port shape or sizes? Valve sizes?

I have a set of euro non-s heads and cams for a 4.5L but they are still in the box.

Same valves for M01-04, M9-10, m13-18. Only the M11-12 Euro S had larger valves.

Valve seat rings change 80+ for non Euro S

My guess is port sizes are the same since they share the same intake runners and exhaust manifolds.

At some point the valve guides were updated to a harder alloy than supplied on the 78-79 heads. Not sure which year though.

I am thinking about a simply rear mount turbo system for the 82. The 78 with the 89 engine and cams ground special will get the Novi 2000 and as much boost as I can get out of it, and run ethanol. I am close to putting the engine in that car. But the 82 is a daily driver now and must be put back on the road in december, very soon. There is a complete 78-79 engine on ebay (or was) that I can get locally - totally rebuilt years ago and turned religiously in storage. New guides, new seats or cut seats, new rings, new bearings, etc.

Seeing if that would put me in a better or worse postion compared to going through this 82 block but not cracking it open. Crank case looks very clean. Bores look good. Didn't do a leak down. 110k on the engine. I will probably end up cutting valves for better sealing (plenty of margin) and shimming the springs for some more pressure against boost. But with that, the gaskets, (I found studs for 8.50 each)etc AND NEW RINGS, I am at or near the price of this rebuilt 78-79 block but that engine has the 78 cams! And I can just stick that one in.

So its a quandry. The idea on this was to inexpensively reseal and clean up the engine and stick it back in ASAP. I am holding fast against other "WYAIT" jobs - its gets out of hand with me.

Headers into a y pipe into a borla right now, but then I remove the borla and pipe in a custom turbo (also why I am saving my money as best I can here) in the rear mount position ( I looked at where the mid mount would go - not much room , too much heat on the input bearing of the trans). 10-15psi would be nice if i can get it. Megasquirt.
