Default Radiator Tank Replacement

The radiator on my 83 has started leaking. It looks like the seal on the passenger side tank is gone.

Is this a DIY job or does a shop need to take care of it. I looked in the WSM but couldn't find a section that covers the radiator?

Also, can the low coolant sensor in the reservoir be replaced or should the whole tank be changed?

It just screws into the fitting on top of the reservoir. No idea if it is available seperately. Pretty certain that on a LHD 928 you need to remove the reservoir to change the sensor (I know you do on a RHD 928)

Phil,
The sensor just screws in and out and doable without removing the reservoir like the RHD cars - sorry Jon.
I sell the side tanks with seals for $75 each. Worth changing them both while at the rad shop.
Find a rad shop that has the tool to compress the ends while bending back the tabs.
Good luck,
Roger
