86.5-91 F & R brake rotors for sale
Guys, the track season is over again for '08, so I've replaced the rotors on my '89 S4track car. The used ones are for sale at a very attractive price. They also, of course fit 968's and 951's as well. Before I post them on the general "member to member for sale classifieds", I wanted to make them available to fellow 928 owners who are or will soon need nearly full thickness rotors for street driving..
Here's the details:
Both front and rear rotors have microcracking. Thats' the reason they are replaced each year. Been doing this for several years and passing the "used rotor" bargains on to other 928 owners. They have a total of about 2500 miles on them, with ~750 of that being track miles in the mid-class of PCA Driver's Ed (by a conservative 70+ year old driver).
All are Zimmerman ventilated solid rotors (not cast hole) - as OE.
The front thickness 31.4 mm (OE new is 32 mm)
The rear thickness is 23.2 mm (OE new is 24 mm)
There is a very small ridge around the outside that is barely visible by the naked eye, can be felt by running fingers radially out over the outer edge. (It is about 0.3 mm high!).
IF you have a state mechanical inspection for your car, they may not pass the inspection due to the micro-cracking.
I do not recommend them for high performance track driving, racing, or Road Racing.
New price for these is $288 per pair for the fronts, $228 per pair for the rears, plus shipping. $516 for all four.
I'm asking $175 plus shipping for all four (67% discount vs new). I prefer to sell them as a set, but if no one wants them for that price within ~ 1 week, I'll post them on the M to M Classifieds for that price, with a price of $110 for the front pair and $90 for the rears. Shipping will be by FedEx ground or Home Delivery.
I'll sell to the first person responding to this posting who agrees to the price, including shipping cost (~45 lbs for fronts, ~40 lbs for rears, ~13" X 13" X 10" box for each pair).
I prefer personal check, and will ship promptly after receipt of check. If no check is received within a week of committment to buy, they will go to the next respondent.
