Hi Alec, I live in Boston and could give let you check out my car if you want sometime around thanksgiving week. its not pristine but its a solid 5-speed s4 that i got at a decent price. If you really are interested in these cars its good to at least have been in one and seen one up close before you start bidding on one blind over the interweb. I'd be happy to give the 411 on what pitfalls to watch out for, etc. Hit me up with a pm if you want.

Default anyone seen this car

I talked to that guy a lot, considered bidding. but last I talked to him he was not going to relist.

his uncle bought new w/auto. had the auto replace with 5sp. then then headers and other engine work. now his uncle wants to pay to have a supercharger installed for him.

PS. I just bought a nice 84 auto for $3600. needs very little, the guy who sold had a lot of maintenance done. then got a promotion and riase and decided to buy a new BMW.

his loss my gain. but now that I bought, need to not look at add any more.

No BS at all. My parts car showed 700 000kms. There is no way in hell it had that much. It's also a documented issue that every now and then, some odometers start rolling the 100K digits for no appearant reason.

That's a pretty good price but don't celebrate just yet. Unless you had a really good PPI done on it and owned/drove it for a while, it might be too early to tell how's gain and who's loss it is.

I gave the owner exactly what he asked for it, I sleep like a baby (a squished baby (3 dogs), but a baby none the less
I've actually seen better deals that I missed, recently I missed an 84 911 (green) that went for $5k and was driven home, washed up and looks like a $20k car

hours south.

Tom (qball) are you watching the FS thread? No affiliation. Greensburg, PA is just east of Pittsburg. He really hasn't done much maint IMO, his level of appreciation is at the Earl Scheib level, literally, paint is by Scheib, but he is anxious to deal. Good luck.
