So my logic (based on what I am reading) tells me that the 87 to 88 pump at $160 will be OK on 80 through 95 cars as long as they are not CIS - yes?
Any fitting issues?

I dont even think 2 pumps could do this. the RRFR will open and keep pressure from building. you could just cycle the fuel more.

the O44 pump is for the 87 S4? Thats the bosch number, right?

It would take 2 or more Bosch 044 fuel pumps to do this, and thus far Noone has done that.

The 044 is the high flow rate pump used by the SC brigade IIRC.
Not for the stock cars.

Mark, 2 pumps would probably raise the fuel pressure as the orifices are too small for that much flow. That said it would require alot of other work, ie another high pressure fuel hose to the front.

And Rog, the answer to your question is yes the pump can be used but I dont know about any fitment issues, (mainly on the earlier cars) I do know that 85-88 it will definetly bolt right in.

but if you have all the other pumps just verify that the outlet threads are the same and then they all should work, though they MAY have to reuse their origonal check valve that is on the pump.

This is what we're looking for. Doesn't the pressure regulator handle the variation??? I think the same pump in my 928 is interchangeable with my 930 and it's a CIS. This is the question: For $109 + $10 Shipping, my 86.5 runs fine... I wonder how it works on an S4.
