Here is two pictures from July when I was in London. I was told that the owner of the car was the brother of the Sultan of Brunei, living in London.

A normal Maybach is not enough, if you want to be "seen" in London a black and orange Maybach is apparently the way to go....

Nah, just isn't into Maintenance.
Turn signal bulb goes out...jump into another sHARk. Color co-ordinated with his suits, no doubt.
Another plus is the Fuzz -they are everywhere- can't possibly have enough camel-jockey's handy to keep track off him if he has the entire staff blaze out of the parking compound at the same time.
Jeez, 40 or 50 928's, he had a Frenzy every day. And enough Porsche's to be his own Regional Porsche Club.
Envy, Envy, and more Envy.

I don't make a habit of making posts about false info, here is what I know from speaking to my source...
Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) is still selling off Prince Jefri's belongings to pay off his multi-billion dollar debt.. hey, it took him years to collect this stuff, it's logical it would take years to sell
many of the high end cars (Ferrari, Lambo etc) have been shipped out of country for auction due to limited interest local
I'm trying to get a link for the schedule of auctions, I will post more info as I get it
here's a pic he sent me from an auction recently, he got outbid on this S4

KK4709 is not listed in car lists which have been posted earlier. Maybe plates were changed or tmore likely here are more 928's than listed.

I asked the source for more info and here is what he said:

Yes. The auctions are held in Brunei & I forgot to mention I'm from Brunei. The Auction are held usually around March/April and Aug/Sept every year. This is their 10th Auction since 2002. Only local Brunei people can buy the cars.

Well I'm not sure sure if there's an online auction but many exotics like Ferrraris, lambo etc are sold to other countries(usually seprate auction for international buyers only.*Local Bruneians can't even enter the auction*.

The ones that are sold to the people of Brunei are those considered "non exotics" for them. eg.old mercedes benz SL, BMW 3 series and Porsche 944 etc..
Sadly most of the cars that are bought from the auction, the people bid the car at a high price but not aware of high maintenance and expensive parts many are neglect in the workshop yard.

928 in Brunei.

Here's some pics from the Auction.

The Purple 928. The digital speedo is not working but I would guess no one bid that day and could be coming out again in the next Auction. I might bid this one* If it's not sold that day* next time.
1) Purple 928

You know some people would not understand these cars thinking they get a bargain supercar from the auction but ending up like this.
2)Yellow 928 in the bushes.

I was mad seeing such great cars ending up like that
3) Black 928 abandon in the woods.

4) Brown 928 at yard.

Nowadays i saw at the local used car magazine. Few 928s are listed for sale for a very high price.I know it wont cost that much because they bid very high $$$ during the auction.

I test drove the 95 GTS and talk to the owner and he said he got from the same auction. he said he can't afford the fuel and maintenance.
928 GTS selling for 48k - Too much for a 928 since I know it costs around 17k- 20k range.
4)http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00443wq4.jpg
Currently the car is kept at the used car yard. I know it will be years stored there.

Thanks Rixter for posting..

Wish these was some way for us RHD 928'ers to get our hands on one or two of them.. I'd love to get a car that was low mileage.

Have to wonder if any of those 88 MY cars are SE's

you're welcome...
I've broached the subject of trying to get a couple of them and he seems receptive to assisting ... I've also asked him to check to see if perhaps there are any LHD cars... also, I'm trying to see if the so called junkers are available for purchase. maybe he would be willing to strip out the goodies and keep the rest for himself
I'll update as I know more

Please do - I imported my current 928 and would happily go through the same process again for a nice low-miles 5-speed S4 (sadly current Aussie import regs mean I can't import anything as "new" as a GT, let alone a GTS).
