Cult 928s PhotoThread

I think this thread will spiral out of control if owners are allowed to post their own cars. If no one else thinks of your car as deserving, it probably shouldn't be on it.
This is not a commentary on any cars already on here.

Here are some pics of the Holbert 928.
These range from a shot of it breaking the speed record in '86, to use as a IMSA rescue recovery vehicle. Also a shot of how I found it (or 928Intl found it) in the side of someones yard, basically abandoned, as well as a couple in its glory on the track for 7 full racing seasons (so far)

Over the years, certain 928s come on stage as being exceptional examples of the model.
Also, there's Kibort's 928 track car, which came into this world a star already. (Someone please add more on this car and it's Salt Flats history...and obviously has a mystery engine that may be one of the best ever assembled made by Porsche)
I'd started in the first post with a few example fotos. Please add more.

Yea, I see this thread as a free for all where a lot of picture posts will be the average (or just above) 928. I already see pics of no value and only about 20% are anything worth talking about.

Harsh, bro, harsh. I think the reason you're seeing what you're seeing is because "cultish" is a bit subjective.

mmmmmmmnya...maybe...I don't know. Certainly wasn't intending to be dissing this thread. There are just pics that I see as just different 928's...nothing really special. I guess it comes down to what one actually considers a cult. I think the whole 928 thing is a cult (period). 60K cars over 18 years...that nothing in the car world. Heck...there weren't a whole lot of GTS's and I have one that is a 5 spd...is that a cult?

I don't know if this is cultish, but Kim Crumb sure was one of them that got me into 928s.
