Default FS: 86.5 928S SOLD!!!

Well I am out of space and winter is coming so it is time to blow out the 86.5.

1986.5 Porsche 928S (86.5 928's have the bigger 928S4 brakes)
White on Can Can Red Leather
VIN: WP0JB0920GS861955
130k ish miles
Auto

Maintenance performed over the last 8k miles (Last 2 years),

Timing Belt and water pump. Engine Runs strong!!! (Porken System)
Distributor cap/rotor spark plugs
Ignition wires
All filters and fluids (synthetic)
New Windshield

It has never failed to start, It has never overheated even with the A/C on and 100+ degrees outside. The tires have decent tread (Toyo's) but they are not very good rain tires.

If you want a show car you would be better off buying a low mile 928 then fixing this one up with the current market prices.... BUT if you want a "cheap" 928 that runs and drives well you will have a tough time finding a better 928 for this money.

Now the bad,

Poor paint job (good from 10 feet) and they used body filler in couple of spots. Notice the missing front bumper trim beading

Radio does not work but most major retailers have them for $100 installed.

Odometer stopped at 122k (130k is best guess at current miles, Carfax shows it was working last year)

Cruise Control & Air Pump removed by previous owner

Leaks oil and transmission fluid. Not really bad but both need to be topped up once in awhile.

Sunroof leaks a bit and the leather is damaged (see pic)

Sunroof Motor cover is missing (see pic)

Love the Can-Can Red Interior - EXCELLENT! Unfortunately, I already have 3 automatics. Best of luck with the sale!

I had it listed in the Autotrader, Ebay and Craigslist for $4500 (trader was $5500) but only had two serious calls. I bought it cheap from Porken so I am not losing much on it.

If I put it out on the street in Wenatchee I know some punk will pay $3500 for a "Tony Montana" car

Should I just Ebay it and blow it out?

The problem is finding a punk with $3,500 in CASH because no one is lending money right now ! except to those with 700 plus credit scores and no need to borrow.

Lots of Mexican guys around here just finished making $200 a day picking fruit.

(They are the only guys who will do it even at $200 a day )

Ebay it is then but with a $3500 reserve,

Wow, that is a steel, ahhh aluminum I mean.
I wish I was close and had space, already have 4 cars with 2 drivers and a 2 car garage.

I don't think it is your price keeping buyers away, it is the "times". A great time to be a buyer, but not a lot of guys are or feel like they can be liquid right now.

I say hang on to it.

I bid on the car, and am interested, but shipping costs killed it for me.
