Hello, and welcome to the shark asylum! Good info in the "New Visitor" sticky, including some acronyms we use here that you may or may not be familiar with.

Welcome.. what's your car? looks from your avatar like an 89-91 S4? (I think I see a roof antenna there)

I have to ask.. did you own the 928 before they added the speed limit up there?

For the benefit of others.. the Northern Territory in Australia only gained a speed limit at the start of 2007

Speed limit...thank you big brother. we can thank the Commonwealth Gov't for that one. Leaning on us with the grants management side...in other words do as we say or we wont give you funding for capital infrastructure. What has it achieved....zip...our road toll is double what is was and climbing....incidently a minor percentage are related to speed...yes I know that it could have reduced that number but I dont think it has.

Anyway my S4 is an 88. With 55 miles on it, sunroof etc...

I had a supercharged SLK at the time and a couple of other vehicles...a group of us went on a road trip new years eve and got it out of our systems.

Might need a bit more clearance than a 928 has to do a lap of Ayres Rock (Uluru) on wheels. Mostly its done on foot...BTDT.
