I think a cheap toaster oven would do the trick.

Quick search came up with the following

Kiln: http://www.delphiglass.com/index.cfm...emsysid=188785

The Powder: http://www.delphiglass.com/index.cfm...t&viewcat=2415

Only major issue with this is weather or not the metal can handle the high temperatures without damage.

Seems like the Kiln can pay for itself if someone want to make a bunch of them and sell them.

Yes, and then I'm sure they would get a call from some Porsche lawyers...

I don't know Dan, if you're buying old badges and restoring them in a different color I can't imagine Porsche can do anything about it. If you were making new badges I think it would be another story.

Anyways, here is a link to Wikipedia describing the enameling process: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitreous_enamel

So does anyone have the badges off one of the fire damaged 928's? Did it melt?

I would fill with two different colors of epoxy. Then sand. You won't get the gold plate on the ridges though.
