Question 928 S2 auto (1986) Starting issue's

Hi All,
Can't belive i only just found this site!! Did a quick search but carnt really make head nor tails of this site atm (need to find myself around!)
Having issue's with my friends 928 s2 (Im a 924 owner so 928 are a bit of a miss with me!)

Story - Parked on friends drive (Just about to prove to me why a 928 is more desirable than a 924) engine running aprox 4/5 min's. Jump in passanger seat about to head off when he relises he's left his phone in the house. as he gets half way to the door the engine stalls. Try restarting no joy.

Tryed again this afternoon (been left since 8pm last night) Fired up fine left it idling 4/5mins later engine dies again. Try restarting no joy.

After it's stooled -
Tryed Fuel pressure at 1st until relised ball bearing is stuck in the fuel rail so hopefully remove and try to remove it tommorrow.
No spark is present on re-cranking
Fuel pump doesn't run
Crank sensor 1.3k resistance
NTC Sensor on front of block 2.1k resistance (temp quage half way on bottom marker)
AFM is securley pluged in and terminals clean.
Tryed swaping the LH/EZF relays with horn and another 53 relay we had kicking around.

Now kinda out of idea's..... Any thoughts?

Thank's

Mark

jumper the EZF, LH and fuel pump relays,

The crank sensor resistance is alittle high, but not sure exactly what spec is. Both that I checked just the other day (for an S2 as well) were 1.00 and .99

The S2 also doesnt have an AFM it has a MAF, which would not cause your starting issue.

If jumpering the relays results in no change then I would be looking at the crank sensor.

The twin distrib drive belt only turns one of the two rotors it should still be a 4 cylinder possible 5 with a broken belt.....go for the relays , relay, relay
