I've had stongard on mine for 8.5 years. I had a crack in one fog a few years back, stripped the stongard and put it onto the new one and since then no issues. I think the fogs crack from heat differential when splashed, as well as stones. No yellowing so far. I have kept a spare set in-case

Yes, it could have been either. I suppose even with stock bulbs, with the small area around the bulb in the driving/fog lights, heat could be an issue with the heavy Stonegard insulating the lens.

I have not seen any problems even here in Phoenix w/ day/night use - but the last 2 years with HID DRL's so only 35W per side (& not 100% usage - winter/late afternoon - early evening use).

I do have a few marks on the stongards that suggest they got some good hits - no lens damage.
