Default PCA Car Show . . . 928's in Destin, FL. (pic's)

PCA Charity Car Show & Fund Raiser today in Destin, FL.

This event is a fund raiser for Sacred Heart Hospital in Destin and is sponsored by the North Florida Region of the Porsche Club of America. The event was open to all Porsches.

Thought I would post some pic's of the 928's there today.

Some beautiful cars there, and interesting colors - Cassis Red, Baltic (?) Blue, etc. that you don't see every day.

Place looks familiar. The family and I vacationed at the Hilton Sandestin back in July, and had a great time.

Unfortunately, we were in the family truckster rather than the 928. We'll definitely be back, as the beach/water/golf/accomodations were incredible. Would love to take the GT down there.

David,
We need pics of your new wheels.

Notice the wet spot under the front end?

Finally some rubber on the road...

Thanks again Darien, love the new wheels!

Thanks, it must of been one of those rare moments when I was on a test run. IIRC I was installing the SC during that time along with many other mods.

I hope all was well when you returned home.

Nice seeing you David, We did have an excellent 928 turn out. Surprising to see so many 928'ers that aren't on the Rennlist, though. Seems like you and I are the only ones, from our area that post here.

I'm still pretty astounded as to just how nice your engine turned out. Nice, nice work...

Matt,

Good to finally meet you too, sorry I missed you later in the day.

Thanks for the compliment on the engine. When you are back over this way let me know we will go for a cruise down 30A.

David, what does cassirot translate as? The avatar you use really doesn't do it justice. The picture you posted above positively glows. My eyes popped out of my head when I saw it and then finally took notice of your avatar. Dude, you need to change your avatar! That color is amazing!

I actually would like to know the translation on that too. Cassis Red is the color. Not sure what the roots are of that color. Pretty striking. A color you'd have to see in person to appreciate. I had seen only one other one in person other that David's. Back at 928 specialists Sharks in the Harbour 1999, can't remember who owned it...
