The car was setup by a friend of mine at least 20 years ago. So my memory is a bit fuzzy.

IIRC the rear has 79 front springs, the front has S4 front springs. Both cut down about a coil or so.

Front spindles were modified to hold S4 calipers.

I'm sure there are far better setups for this car out there. This worked fine for the past two owners so for now I'm happy with it. The loose nut behind the wheel needs more modifications then the car.

Tom,

I do have some interesting Cup II wheels like are on the late '94 and '95 GTS's. I have one set of fronts in 7.5" wide by 17" with the et 65 offset. These were the OE fronts on these cars. I also have a set of 8" X 17" X et 70 offset. These fit beautifully on the fronts of 928's and give a 1/2" wider wheel, with the centerline of the tire at essentially the identical place as the OE 7.5" wide wheel.
Both of these fronts are OE Porsche wheels with 993.xxx.xxx.xx part numbers. They aren't cheap, but they are the only width/offset that are right for a 928.

I also "may" have a set of Cup II rears that are OE with the 9" width and et 55 offset. They are tentatively spoken for, but the sale has not been finalized. And, I have a set of aftermarket 17" cup II wheels in 9" width with a 47 et (puts each rear wheel 1/3" further out for a wider rear stance on the car. PM me if you have interest.

RKD,

I've been eyeing those wheels (your new ones) for a while and am thinking about going for it. Where did you get yours? I've seen them at 928 Motorsports and a couple other sites, but I have no idea if there are 'deals' out there or not.

If you have any advice, feel free to let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Got them from a local Porsche shop, planet9eleven.com. They were dealer take offs.

That makes sense. I need to check locally a bit longer.

Thanks again!
