Default Anyone have factory 993 type wheels for sale?

I have an 89S4 and I don't like the tire choices available for my 16" flat dish rear wheels. I'm looking for the factory 928 wheels with the high offset.17x 7 1/2 ET 65 and 17x9 ET55. I just missed a set earlier and I'm hoping for lightning to strike twice.

I apologize if this belongs in the Classified section.

968s also came with those exact sizes and offsets, so they are out there. It is a nice choice on any 928 and you keep the correct diameter as stock.

Cheaper tires and some of us prefer the look of 17s to the wagon wheels.

I always liked the cup 17" also and plan to get some in the future. I need new tires soon but am going to stick with the 16" Dish for another year. I hear the Fuzion Zri for the stock 16" Dish are decent tires and are cheap at least to get me through next year until I can finally upgrade the wheels.

Default re: Why 17's

The extra sidewall height. I don't go on the track and roads in New York are frost heaved and broken up. I don't care if it costs me a few tenths at the auto-x that I don't run, I want the better ride...

FWIW I did not notice any ride change from 17 to 18 on either of my cars. YMMV

The 81 has sport suspension, the 79 (pictures) has lowered, stiffer springs.

I'm still in the 80's.

PS...that 79 looks downright SEXY on the track. Sharp looking car. What springs/shocks were you running in that?
